Testimonials from 2020 That Touched Our Heart

2020 was one year that no one will forget. And it's testimonials like these that remind us all how special Golden Pond is, and how happy we are to call it home to our residents and staff that make it all possible.

May 24, 2020: "My family and I want to sincerely thank you for all you do for our mom and all the residents at Golden Pond, but especially during the Covid -19 pandemic. With the devastating impact Covid -19 had on so many elder-care facilities, due to high infection and mortality rates around the country, you all acted quickly and helped to keep your staff and residents as safe as possible. You were on the forefront of addressing ways to protect your staff and residents early on. You not only quickly worked on protocols to limit the spread of the disease, but you set them in motion rapidly and your communications were timely, informative and reassuring to families. The testing you had done, on multiple occasions, gave everyone a clear answer and your rapid and thorough communications were of great comfort to us.

In a time when we could not see our mom (which we did almost every day pre pandemic), knowing that the staff were keeping her safe kept us from further worry. When we called or emailed to ask a question of ask for any kind of intervention for our mom (help her change her TV channel etc.) the staff was kind, supportive and responsive. Also, the way you and your staff got back to one-on-one “special time” with our mom, once it was safe to do so, has made such a difference in her life and ours.

Thank you to all the Staff at Golden Pond."

December 19, 2020: "As I think back over 2020, it is quite obvious to even the casual observer that is was a somewhat atrocious year for most people. For me, it truly sucked. I had always heard the death of a spouse is the worst kind of loss, but I never really imagined or understood the extent to which that is true. However, without the support of each and every one of you, this period in my life would have been even more unbearable. Your support, your friendship, and your humor have buoyed me through this difficult time and for that I am eternally grateful.

Golden Pond welcomed my wife Karen into Golden Pond knowing how complicated Karen’s physical and psychological care would be. The team dedicated themselves and worked so collaboratively with Karen’s providers to successfully figure it out and provide a life full of little moments enriched with meaning and heart. I am truly fortunate to know all of you."
